Personally, I don't much like Stonehenge. I first met the place when I was six, on the way to Cornwall for a family holiday. We stopped off for a picnic there (before fences, Visitor Centres and all the palaver) Back then it was peaceful and the energies were amazing. Last time I went there the energies were dark and brooding, as if the place was angry.

I greatly prefer Avebury.

Me too. However the church destroyed many of the stones. .

I also like castle rigg in the lake district. No high stones but dramatic.
