Something unpleasant happened to me today.

I decided to do a little shopping before work, so I left my house early.
When I was getting ready to leave, as I was shutting the back door, this horribly hot and wild wind was blowing and giant black clouds were looming overhead.
It started to rain while I was on the toll road.
Normal rain.
I got to the stripmall, parked in the car park.
Walked into the shop, walked through the normal rain.
I knew exactly what I needed and where it was, so I made a beeline, and since it was 3:30pm, the store was empty.

By 3:40pm it was a catastrophic storm!
Over here in Texas they call it a "rain bomb".

Of course, I had no brolly and no raincoat ...

I waited till 3:50 to see if it'd at least decrease, not no luck!

I had to walk to the car, and get wet!

And I had to go to work all wet!
And be wet for hours and hours and hours
and be freezing because the air conditioner is on here at the car dealership!

I felt like a wet cat!!!!
Suffered the "cold wet cat syndrome"!

Or course, I did not bring a jumper!
Why would I?
This is Texas, it was 93F at 11am!

I have a small fan under the desk.
I turned it on and put my sandals in front of it and they dried.
My dress slowly dried.

I am now technically dry, and I am wearing a borrowed jumper.
But my hands are frozen, so is my nose and my feet.

Yuck!

That has happened to me a few times. Riding a bicycle 9 miles to work.

Yuck!
How long did it take you to cycle the 9 miles to work?

That was most likely a nice work out, if you did not get sopping wet!

Did your clothes dry, or were you stuck with soggy clothes all day?

My dress dried, but I had a small fan under the desk!

Wet all day working a train. Heater was rubbish but I dried my socks. Just as well it was not corridor stock so I had some privacy.( google Glasgow Blue Train 1980's. Before they were converted) Although they were pieces of junk.
