Are you serious about the doggie door and Sir Isaac Newton!???

It's not bad to have separate doors for critters who need to, or should (!) pee outside!
Makes your life easier!

My older dog, Toby, if he has to pee, in the middle of the night, he cries.
So I have to get up and let him out and wait for him to come back in.
I've fallen asleep on the sofa, while waiting.

If door is open ... he doesn't cry ... and I am very very grateful!!

As you know, I am often the last to find out what all is going on.

I do know that Fig Newtons (biscuits here) are NOT named after Sir Isaac Newton!
Woo hoo!

We have Fig Newtons but here they are called fig rolls. Legally they are a cake. Biscuits are taxed, cakes are not. The difference? Cakes go hard when they are stale, biscuits go soft. This was decided in a court case concerning Jaffa Cakes.

They made an eighteen inch Jaffa Cake for the court case. Lovely to see the VAT man defeated.

Oh my goodness!
I cannot stop laughing!
Makes NO sense to me!
Here cakes and biscuits are taxed!!

Why are cakes not taxed?
The silliness of texture is not a reason or an excuse!

Today the doggie door is finished and on the door!

Had to push and pull several Corgis through the flap!
Had to bribe and reward them with little pieces of pork scratchings!

My 2 boys, Seymour and Toby had mastered the flap before I left home for work!

I wish I could video it and post it here for you all to see!

Hopefully when I get home they will not have peed inside!

The flap is clear, you can see through it, but when their noses touch it, they get confused!!
And are not sure as to whether stop, or push through!

I'll give updates!

One of my daughters had a flap for her dog. One day she came home and found a rat eating the dog's dinner. The rat promptly fled through the flap. She now has a flap which locks automatically, and is unlocked by a gizmo on the dog's collar. It's battery-powered, and the batteries last about a year.

Ouch!
I've heard of things like that!
Critters from the outside getting in!
Squirrels and raccoons!!

But we have 5 dogs.
If something got in ... it might want to run out really quickly!

From what I've heard about raccoons, they're quite capable of installing their own catflap, or even opening the door with set of lock picks. (Or do people who have been victimised exaggerate their cspabilities? )
