Post Re: Can God really be defined?
I don't bother trying to define God(s). I don't perceive Deity as a Being at all.

That being said, I have a Trinity, Earth, Sun and Moon. For me, Something caused the Universe, or Multiverses to come into existence. That Something is far too vast for me to even begin to comprehend it, even dimly.

So I will start with what I can comprehend, Mother Earth, from whom all the molecules which make the creatures and plants come, and will return to Her after our Earthly journey is Finished, Father Sun, without whose warmth and light Mother Earth would be just a barren, frozen ball of rock, and Sister Moon, whose energies govern the spin of Earth Mother, and the tides of both the oceans and the fertility of Mother's Creatures.

Take any one of these away, and Life as we know it would not be possible.

That is my belief system, in addition I also follow the teachings of Jesus, without attaching any deity to him.

Cheers, Midori

I do not think that we will ever know the "truth" about God or if there really is a something that can be called "God".

A current explanation for me is; at the heart of a Black Hole is a Singularity. If a Singularity were to explode into a new or different set of dimensions then it would likely look like a Big Bang. Subatomic particles form Atomic particles which form Molecules which amongst many other things form RNA and DNA. Life Jim, but not as we know it. Our Universe may not be alone, recent observations seem to indicate that galaxies may be gravitationaly attracted to galaxies in neighbouring universes. ie They clump. The mystery of Gravity may be solved if it turns out to be transuniversal.

Always wondered as the universal stars eventually die out they join to become a huge singularity and eventually explode and the whole universe stars again.

A never ending cycle. But does it have meaning?

Well for one thing when time is recurring and in a universe of infinite variables then it is possible to have a life after death.

Does the Soul survive this reality or is an NDE just your last dream? Where does the light go when you flick the switch? Actually I know that one.

I would say many think they do but no one really knows.

Light is just a wavelength of energy as is heat. When a filament or gas cools or stops being excited the energy settles down and is absorbed by the surroundings. 2nd law of thermodynamics.
