The interview was very interesting. Her view of enlightenment is new, it is very fresh. It takes out much of the mysticism, and it speaks in a modern language.

We live in a world of Samsara (Buddhism) or Maya (Vedic-Hinduism), she calls it the world of belief. In my understanding it is more the conditioned world. When we awaken, we free ourselves from the cultural, social, political, religious conditioning that has been forced upon us. True enlightenment liberates us. She mentions silence, the path of meditation. This path of silence has been at the root of Buddhism, Vedic-Hinduism, J. Krishnamurti, and others.

Sri Rama Mahrshi of Arunachala (1879-1950) used to tell people to concentrate in the question "Who am I?" This is essentially what Byron Katie is promoting. Nevertheless her approach is new and very refreshing.

At the end of The Hogfather DEATH is talking to his adopted granddaughter Susan.

YES. JUSTICE. MERCY. DUTY THAT SORT OF THING.

YOU THINK SO? THEN TAKE THE UNIVERSE AND GRIND IT DOWN TO THE FINEST POWDER AND SIEVE IT THROUGH THE FINEST SIEVE AND THEN SHOW ME ONE ATOM OF JUSTICE, ONE MOLECULE OF MERCY. I am now in my 54th year of my temporary role as Lenny and have dropped all my beliefs. My 'religion' is thus: To Live From The Heart.

I do like to discuss reincarnation and UFO's etc - but I don't nail myself onto what I discuss. I am open minded and love disappearing down multiple rabbit holes!
