Post Spirit Guide in American Indian/Native American beliefs
I want to find out what my animal spirit guide is, but I do not think I could actually go on a Vision Quest.

You have to go into the forest and fast, and take some type of hallucinogen.
And I know I cannot do that.

I am going to try some websites I have found, that say they can determine your animal spirit guide, based on your answers!

I will keep you all informed and if they seem fun, I will send you the web address!!

Post Re: Spirit Guide in American Indian/Native American beliefs
I went on the following website and took a survey:

http://www.spiritanimal.info

The results were the following:

My spirit guide is the Turtle,
along with the turtle, the Butterfly and the Owl.

This is a survey online, written by someone I have never met. And what I find crazy is the following!

I give my daughter-in-law a present every mother's day,
and it is a figurine of an animal that I find beautiful and meaningful.

I give them to her in groups of three.
Don't know why three, but 3 was one of Tesla's favorite numbers and he said that 3,6 & 9 hold the secret of the universe. I greatly respect Tesla's work and understanding.

The gifts I have given her are tied to the animal spirits that came up as my animal guides! I though OMG!! I'm listing them and what they mean to me.

I have given her: 3 butterflies (the power of transformation from one amazing thing into another thing of beauty)
3 owls (wisdom, mystery, intuition, contact with the world of the dead, our ancestors)
3 turtles (2 tortoises and 1 turtle; strength, resilience, persistence, perseverance, gentleness)

I found this very interesting!

I am sure that if I speak to an American Indian, he/she will tell me this is not the correct way to go about commuicating with the animal spirit guide, but I cannot help but marvel that these came up!
