Post World Ended???
According to some, the world was going to end as of this morning.

Sadly I am at work and no end (rapture), what are other thoughts of this?

I didn't think it was going to happen - I can't even remember the Biblical quotation that apparently refers to this.

I think there are those who us the bible to strain new meaning from it.
The bible says (if you believe it)
Matthew 24:36 ESV :-
“But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.

However that has not stopped people predicting it. http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/List_of_pr ... _the_world
I understand the JWs have stopped predicting it and gone back to saying it will be soon. All the churches has been saying this for 2000yrs.

I told my boss I had become an Islamic, Jewish, Christian, I then asked if I could have Friday, Saturday and Sunday off each week. I was told definitely "NO!". I then said she was persecuting my faith. I still did not get anywhere. I cannot think why??? :halo:

It is fascinating bit of study and something that is covered on some free online course samples on Christianity. The original thinking when the bible was being composed was that based off of the life of Jesus that the rapture and end of days would be very soon (or at least the more influential of the early Christian Leaders) there were also a smaller faction that took the meaning of Christ's sacralise as being that humanity was saved and the rapture and end of day avoided until such time as no one knew or could predict.

Until Jesus returned, do I think the end of days can be predicted? Well just from a scientific point of view and barring no other natural disasters or universal mishaps or the human race going beyond Earth and our Solar System (Now more likely than it ever has been) then in roughly 4.8 billion years time when the sun expands and the Earth is destroyed that will be the end of days.
