Post Re: Dis-honour violence
It seems to me that we should start the ball rolling in the UK by deciding that the standard the law allows applies regardless of race/creed/culture without exception. Those who disagree are free to leave as soon as they like, so long as it isn't between failing the UK standard and getting arrested!

British politicians are often too polite (IMO). I remember an Australian Minister who said if people do not like our law and freedoms then please take advantage of another Australian freedom and leave.
That said I am sure many groups who are not from other parts also treat women badly. Some take Paul's comment that women should not speak to heart. I had to report one man who lived near me for repeatedly hitting his partner and knocking her to the ground. He then continued to hit her. The Police sent eight police officers around to him and stayed with him for over an hour. I do not know the outcome.

Good old Aussie plain speaking. Not allowed to do it here though.Apparently.

I saw a program a while back that seemed to indicate that people with a homicidal nature may have a genetic deficiency in their brains but this was only triggered by prepubescent conditioning. So even though they had the potential to be violent they weren't unless they were brought up in a disfunctional family.

As for me, I've always emphasised the 'fun' in disfunctional.
Nutters we may be but we enjoy it.

And now it would appear that honour killings have crossed the cultural divide.

so called honour punishments are the shameful side of humanity and the low life actions of any faith and needs stamping out. It is just plain sick.
