I don't think they noticed.

I popped into Tribal to see if they knew. I'd stopped going some time ago due to a heated discourse concerning weapons.

What was the weapons debate about?
You know the US is always going to be pro-rights to bear arms.
That is part of the foundational fabric of the culture and the country.

I know. I am English. My psychological perspective is different.

The US is seen by most in the UK as very strange that despite the many deaths each year they insist on the right of everyone to bear arms.

And the reality is that that is not going to change.

I'm here too. :excite:

Perhaps we do need to have a look at the members and their last visit/posting dates then send them an e-mail asking if they still wish to remain as a member.

I really dislike untidy forums, however, I wouldn't like to just remove someone if they are still dropping in for the occassional catch-up.

Admins, I think we need to have a talk about this.

What do you all think about this? It sounds like a good idea!
It'd be great if more people would post!!

But if people no longer contact us in years, I don't know ...
I was gone 2 years, due to health problems and the big gigantic move from Illinois to Texas.

Thank you Lannah  You get free life membership of the Califer Appreciation Society.

We have always shied away from removing people from the forum in the past and I am glad that this has been the norm. You had a break from posting due to personal life issues but your return has livened up the forum to our great benefit. Had we not been conscientious about our policy we would have lost out.

There are many members though, that have never posted and I believe that we should start to think about messaging them in the first instance and if we receive no reply then we should remove them from the roster. This does not mean that they cannot re-submit a membership application should they wish to do so in the future.

One great problem we have had in past times is people joining and then filling the boards with spam. I am glad to say that Pete found some great free online services that allows us to identify spammers before they hit the boards.

Anyway, it is something for us to think about.
