My grandson will never get any older. He died on 16 aug 2014 at 16h30 near Tonbridge in Kent. He was amazing. He taught himself to play the guitar and could play with either hand. In any style. The last thing he played for me was Romanza. He was determined to succeed at everything and had many friends. He had just started college on a course that would have allowed him to join the Royal Marines as an officer. He died of a broken heart. He split with his girlfriend after a very tiring and stressful period and went and found a railway line. About 20 of his fellow Army Cadets paraded at the crematorium. All the officers saluted his coffin before leaving. To see the cadets in their uniform and all his long haired college friends together made me realise what an all rounder he really was. He was loved, admired and respected by many. I will miss him every day for the rest of my life. The Doctor said something fundamental recently as he often does. "It is not the day when someone dies that is the hardest, as you invariably have something to keep you busy. It is all the days they stay dead".

Sorry Zen. As you say - what price hell after such bitter sorrow. It is why if it turns out there is a god, I want some angry words with that god.
