Hopefully I'll be in wales by then.

Are we going with Midori's suggestion of the avebury campsite? That way we can take people to Avebury and the stones to meet Arthur and co ..

Now that sounds like a cracking idea.

The solstice next year is thurs 24th.

I'm up for it,anyone else cope with that?

I've probably got a bit of space, car and tent wise,if you are not too picky that is.

Pete mate (I'm writing in here 'cos you locked the above box).
In South American countries they have to have two ceremonies,
one civil where the legal stuff is done followed by the religious one,
and they're catholics.Mostly.So, obviously, priests have no legal authority.
In essence, there's nothing to stop us doing the same.
A trip to the registrar followed by a 'Rev Jim' wedding in a taxi garage,or similar.(youtube it).

Improvise,Adapt and Overcome.

After a while, use and practice will become recognised.

Sorry but I locked the topic because it frequently comes up and I want it to be used as a reference point to refer people too.
However, that does not mean we cannot discuss it anywhere else. In fact I think it is a good thing to do.
I believe there is nothing wrong with having a marriage blessing of what ever a person wants, but for a marriage to be legal, it has to be government sanctioned. CofE and the like get the registra part in their training and therefor it is simpler for them.
Having a Queen in charge of the church does bring privilidges. It would be great if Prince Charles were to join us. He appears more universal in his outlook and maybe we would all be able to share the privilidge when he is crowned.
In the US, the legal side is done by the state and that makes everything more simple. I know the UK is not the only country which has this problem. It is just a shame, it is not revisited by the legal bodies in the interests of fairness.
