I used to be a nuclear submariner, but it's mostly worn off.Now I only glow in the dark on special occaisions.

We'd have to be very weird to outweird the BBC.

Auntie is part of the establishment.

Non members of the establishment only get on the telly if they are:a.feared or :b.mocked

The Law of Vested Interest will always apply.

We just aren't eccentric enough.

My daughter said that if I was rich I would be eccentric, then she said,"But you're not,so you're just mad".

That is the reason I believe the BBC are being so unfair. Everyone has a madness in someone else's eyes. It is called being human. The BBC just wants to appear as the only eyes available at present.
I suspect we may get noticed if we set up a charity event under our name?

Paul tried that a few times .. the amount of paperwork was nothing short of diabolical!

Nevermind Zen .. you'd be great to have around in a powercut

Am I just mad too then, seeing as I'm not rich either? I was rather proud of being eccentric .. Sniff!

I didn't say I agreed with her.

Only other people can call you eccentric or mad.

I call myself unique.

If we are members of the ULC we have to be mad, eccentric, unique, and of course, very proud of it.

Everybody finds us odd. It matters not where you are: in the UK, in the USA, or in Puerto Rico... we are considered strange.

How I wish I could me all of you mad, eccentric, and unique persons. I pray someday to travel to the U.K to meet with all of you.

Hermano Luis

That would be a lovely thing to happen Hermano.
I guess, many in the ULC are happy to be considered odd. That way we do not have live up to another's expectations and are brave enough to find our own path. We are in good company, in doing this:-

"Do not follow where the path may lead. Go, instead, where there is no path and leave a trail. "
Ralph Waldo Emerson

"I want freedom for the full expression of my personality."
Mahatma Gandi

"Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes."
Mahatma Gandi

“God has no religion”
Mahatma Gandi

"The only tyrant I accept in this world is the still voice within."
Mahatma Gandhi

A man must consider what a rich realm he abdicates when he becomes a conformist.
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Old Ralph can stuff his 'Go where there is no path'.

That way leads to horsefly bites.

And I s'pose it's still down to me to organize a gathering next year?

Well going on past weather, June may be favorite.Let me know what you think.

Plenty of time.Probably start thinking of things Jan or Feb.

So Bro Lu and anyone else across the pond can decide if it's worth the effort etc.

From my perspective I think a weekend in a field would be ideal, however, not sure if our colonial cousins are up to roughing it UK style?

And we probably ought to have some kind of itinery as it were.I mean,if someones gonna come 3 or 4000 miles, they're probably gonna want

to do more than get rained on in an English field for 2 days.

Just a thought.
