Post HSBC bank...
Bad news day, sorry. As a result of yet another threatening letter from HSBC bank, (Emma Boardman) demanding money I have no choice but to go on hunger strike to pay them. I have lived without heating and hot water for a year last Sept, and have been on 1 meal a day since March but they want more so I will be starting on Mon, and will not eat again until they are paid off or I am dead. I will keep a diary and of the worst should happen, my brother will sell it to the tabloids to pay the last of my debts. All the best, Rev Steven

Hi Rev. Stephen,

I'm in much the same boat, I'm about to go into my third winter without heat or hot water.

Why?

If 'people' can come to these shores from where ever and get everything on my taxes!

If we are universal, then perhaps we should also be united.

I would like to know more details, but I'm fecked if I'll stand by and and see people being

abused by mindless beaurocrats if I can do anything about it.

Time to go to war.

I really do not like HSBC (previously Midland). They are not the most caring of banks (IMO) and most of us were warned off them both at university and in the Hospitals. I have no love of them and their practices.
I suggest debt counselling and get these bunch of leaches off your back.

Hello all, thanks for your mail and your good wishes.
You will be pleased to know I have been talked out of it by my brother. The idea was to give them the sort of publicity they would NOT want when the government is planning a crackdown on them. I had no intention to take it to the end, just give them a scare, a daft idea I know but the only thing I could think of at the time. I am very sorry if I gave you a scare, I was at a low point and should not have put it on here, sorry again!
Shame the Midland was a very good bank once and HSBC at first. They were the only ones who would give me a mortgage but they seem to have changed about 3 years ago and have just got worse since.
All the very best to you all, God bless and blessed be.
Rev Stephen

When they were Midland, I went with my wife, who had recieved 3 months worth of bank charges and all because she had over drawn by one penny, the night before her wages went in. They would not give an inch on the matter.

HSBC stands for Hong kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation and is controlled by the Chinese government.
It's their foray into western capitalism and a way of getting there own back. They have long memories.
It's not just proponents of sharia law we should be concerned about.

I realise these are all old posts now but I am alarmed to read such poverty between Midori and Steven. I am fully aware of what it is like to have little money, mounting bills and bailiffs at my door for reasons that were all outside of my control so I do sympathise but please go to the websites that Pete referred to and always fill your freezer and cupboards first, go to the local markets late in the day they virtually give the food away then cook in batches and freeze your own meals, make sure the electric and gas are paid so you can reheat the food and yourself, fair enough use less maybe on the heating but dont go without, then pay your debtors.
thankfully in my own situation I am now able to see a good light at the end of the tunnel but I'm not out of it yet and so still have to keep the purse tight but please becareful. You all need your health and going without like that can be detrimental to it.
I hope things have worked out for you both now and that you too can see light at the end of your own tunnels.
Love, energy and prayers to you all
Lisa
